About us

Founded in 2020, the mission of The Donut Shop is to create commUNITY in North Knoxville, and all over the globe! Owners Brian Gentry, and his daughter Averee, have served at countless with mission and outreach opportunities in the city of Knoxville, as well as other parts of the world, such as Nicaragua, Haiti, South America, and the Middle East.

Averee worked at a local donut shop, and following many conversations about becoming entrepreneurs, Brian began to put his business talents to work. He spent over a year researching the donut industry, and even bought commercial equipment and rewired his kitchen to practice making donuts. He found the perfect little flat iron building that The Donut Shop calls home, and opened during a world pandemic in June, 2020.

Brian and Averee are both thankful to God, their family, and the wonderful people of Knoxville they get to serve and build a commUNITY with on a daily basis!
